The records document the Council's interest in the consolidated government of Jacksonville-Duval County, winning collective bargaining rights for public employees, community service programs, state legislation, voter registration and education, increasing the number of locals affiliated with the Council, and supporting candidates for public office at the local, state, and national levels.
